She said money disappeared when cops were on the scene

And even as Diane Lamb grieves for Richard Russell, she is dealing with another loss. She claims that while Police were in her home on Thursday night, they stole money which she had in her purse in a drawer. She showed us the blood on the purse, which she alleges must have come from the gloves of the officers who were on the scene right after the murder.

“Last night when I went insdie, I saw his body and they told me to come up. I never knew they took anything from me; I never believed they would have taken anything from me. But when I went and they put me in a hotel last night because of the lot of blood in the house. When I went to the hotel and I look in my purse—a black purse that me and Richard have—I saw none of my money in the purse. My light bill money wasn’t there. One –thirty was my light bill and I had a hundred dollars in the purse; all of that is gone. I don’t have anything; that was my last. They had the chance because at the time I wasn’t inside the house. I don’t know who took it. I don’t know which one of the police officers took it but there were a lot of police officers walking in and out. And what hurts me more is that Richard was n the floor when they took that purse. The drawer was bloody; the purse had blood on it. That makes me feel that you are so cold. It hurts so bad. I told them about it; that the money is missing, but I haven’t heard anything about it.”

Lamb says that while she did mention it to officers who visited the house this morning, she has not made an official report, and probably will not, since she doesn’t think it will result in  her money being returned.
