Kenecia Velasquez is Miss Big and Beautiful
The Birds Isle was filled to capacity on Friday night for the debut of the first ever Miss Big and Beautiful contest. Six contestants braved the stage in various outfits including a swimsuit competition, but in the end only one could walk away with the crown. That lucky lady was Kenecia Velasquez, representing the Pickstock division. The show was organized to benefit the Jump Street Posse Carnival group. According to coordinator Marina Welcome, proceeds totalled more than five thousand dollars. Welcome says that figure means her group can now participate in the Queen and King category in this year’s Carnival competition.
