They robbed him, but court gave him bail
Two Belize City men were today charged for a robbery of an Orange Walk businessman in the court of Magistrate Adolph Lucas. The duo, twenty-eight year old Jaime Villanueva and eighteen year old Wardworth Clark allegedly held up fifty five year old Jose Santos with a knife earlier today. They allegedly stole his backpack containing his passport, his cell phone and wallet. They were jointly charged with one count of robbery and they pleaded not guilty to the offense. Bail was offered to them in the sum of five thousand dollars plus one surety in the same amount. They must also report to the Queen Street Police Station every Wednesday between the hours of six a.m. and six pm and they must stay away from the virtual complainant. If they violate the conditions of their bail both men will be remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
