Murder trial postponed until October
The murder trial of Chadrick DeBride, the man accused of killing an off duty police officer, has been aborted and moved to the Supreme Court’s October session. As previously reported, one of the jurors in the case was injured in a traffic accident and his ability to hear the case was in doubt. Today those doubts were replaced by confirmation that the man was not fit to serve and Justice Troadio Gonzales made the decision to postpone the case until October. DeBride, accused of killing Constable Nedy Reymundo as he exited a barbershop on December twenty-fourth, 2004, has been returned to prison.
