Hankook Verdes routed by Costa Rica?s Puntarenas

It is with regret that we report the result of today’s international football match-up between Hankook Verdes and Costa Rica’s Puntarenas. The score was five nil for the Costa Ricans in the first round of the UNCAF Club Tournament, held in Costa Rica. Puntarenas led only one zip at the end of the first half, but broke out in the second to achieve the blow-out. About the only good thing to be said for Belize was the outstanding performance of Belizean transplant Shane Orio, star goalie for Puntarenas. The return match will be held Thursday, August thirty-first, at Cayo’s Norman Broaster Stadium.
