Three persons charged for murder of security guard

Story PictureAnd in the Magistrates’ Court, three persons were arraigned for the Murder of fifty-three year old Glenford Williams, who was employed with Anchor Security. The incident, a robbery attempt at the Western Union offices on Regent Street in May, ended fatally for the security guard on duty. That was three months ago and today two minors and twenty-two year old Brandon Taylor, a notorious figure in the streets, were denied bail and Magistrate Aretha Ford adjourned their case until October fifth. On May second, the three accused allegedly stormed the Western Union compound; guns blazing with intentions to rob the establishment. But Williams fired back and the men eventually retreated. A number of people were caught in the crossfire including Williams, who succumbed to his injuries two weeks later. Taylor and the minors also face Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Dangerous Harm, Attempted Robbery and Wounding charges for the other people injured during the ordeal.
