Ralph Fonseca: no comment on election plan

For months questions about his future plans in Belizean politics have hounded P.U.P. Minister Ralph Fonseca … a mystery that has only been heightened following indications of interest by at least two other party followers to fill the position, should it become available. But the public suspense continues tonight as while at the Philip Goldson International Airport this morning, our News Five crew spotted Fonseca arriving from Miami and took the opportunity to ask him about his plans in Belize Rural Central. Fonseca’s only response was an adamant “No comment”. We understand tonight that Fonseca was seeking surgical treatment for a problem with his knees in the United States. On the same flight with Fonseca today was financial secretary Carla Barnett and Minister of National Development Mark Espat. As they appear to be travelling together, we assume Espat and Barnett were away on official government business.
