Audubon has gone to the Birds this weekend
This story is strictly for the birds. The Belize Audubon Society has several camps planned over the summer. But their next upcoming camp is on Sunday. In it, Birders will walk around Belize City in the early morning to identify and look at what else? Birds. Dirk Francisco, Audubon’s Publicity Coordinator, explains.

“This Sunday, August ninth, the Belize Audubon Society is having its first summer camp program, which is a program called Birds of a Feather Flock Together. We will go on a bird walk around Belize City to identify birds with anybody who is interested. The camp is a dollar camp and it’s open to all ages. The will be led by Mr. Rudy Burgos, who is a well-known birder in the country of Belize. So the focus of the camp will be to have people learn the names of birds that they see everyday around Belize City. The camp only costs one dollar. If anybody who comes to the camp would be interested we have a bird bingo after the camp. We will sit right here in our backyard and play some bird games. It’s an exciting program for children and adults alike.”
The three hour camp is on Sunday at six a.m. To be a part of the event, you simply need to show up at the Belize Audubon’s Society’s Office at number twelve Fourth Street with your one dollar coin.
