Burglar busted in the act in Maxboro

Valentine Sanchez

A burglar who was caught in the act of breaking into a home may find his next residence to be the Central Prison if he is found guilty. The owner of the building, Dion Ramclam, was at his Belize City home when he got a call from his neighbors in Maxboro that his home was being burglarized. The culprit is believed to have gained entry into Ramclam’s three storey home by removing three glass louvers.  Ramclam went to the residence along with his neighbors and found the culprit inside the home. With the help of neighbors they were able to subdue the burglar who was trying to escape. The Maxboro residents handed over the burglar to police when they arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, none of Ramclam’s stolen items were found in Valentine Sanchez’s possession. That led police to believe that the burglary was not a one incident event and the items from the house were taken between July sixth and twenty-fifth, 2013. Today in court, forty-seven year old Valentine Sanchez, a Mason of Sand hill was charged with one count of burglary and one count of committing a mischievous act. The mischievous act charge was due to a false name, Valen that the burglar initially told police. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was offered bail and a surety of three thousand dollars.  His next court date is set for September twenty seventh.
