Cops seek San Ignacio robbers
Armed robbers knocked off a shop in San Ignacio last night but police say they’re hot on the trail of the jackers. Fifty-four year old Zhou Xiang Li, proprietor of Chen’s Store on Joseph Andrews Drive, told police that around seven-thirty a man entered the establishment brandishing a sawed off shotgun and demanding money. Zhou coughed up some cash but apparently not enough to please the gunman, who whapped him in the face with the weapon … at which point Zhou found some additional resources. Police say the robber is described as being of Hispanic descent and that area residents have been very helpful in revealing his identity as well as that of at least one accomplice. Zhou, meanwhile, was treated for injuries to his nose and left eye and released from the San Ignacio Hospital.
