Concert brings together local and Bel-Am dancers
The Consortium for Belizean Development was formed twenty years ago with a mission to assist Belize and Belizeans throughout the world. And for the last week, members of the U.S. based NGO and the Elegant Flair Cultural Dance Group, have been touring the country. But the visitors are doing more than just sightseeing as on Friday night the dancers will team up with Belize’s Vista Dance Group and the New Generation Dancers for a fundraising event at the Bliss.

?What can people expect tomorrow night at the show??
Laverne Smith, Executive V.P. Consortium for Bzean Development
?High energy and lots of fun. We have several numbers, we do the soca, we?ll do a gospel, African, and a Tina Turner review; high energy. It?s actually young adults, teenagers and kids. I think that it?s just to see the different dances being done by Belizean kids dancing soca from America; it?s a wonderful experience.?
?It?s actually the Belizean-American kids; it?s a cultural awareness tour for the kids. We want them to be aware of their culture. Their Belizean culture and interact with the Belizean kids in Belize.?
The show starts at eight Friday night at the Bliss. Tickets are fifteen dollars reserve and ten dollars general. Proceeds from the event will support programmes of the Y.W.C.A.
