Korean project to build schools in Pickstock, Yo Creek
A significant donation from the Government of South Korea this week will see the construction of schools, one in the Belize District and a second in rural Orange Walk. According to a Government press release, funding for construction will be accessed from the Korean International Cooperation Agency. The initiative includes a primary school in Yo Creek village and a vocational training centre in the Pickstock division. The value of the buildings is set at a half a million dollars for the primary school and eight hundred thousand dollars for the vocational institution. Construction is set to start in early October and finish in January 2007.
