Investigation into death of toddler almost complete
The investigation into the death of twenty-one month old Jaydan Guy is almost completed. When we spoke with the Director of Health Services, Dr Michael Pitts, today he said the Quality Assurance Officer in the Ministry of Health, Michele Hoare, was expected to present the findings shortly. Little Jaydan Guy died after choking on a grain of beans late last month. He had been kept on a life support for seven days after the grain blocked his airways, rendering him brain dead. The family has charged that poor analysis by the doctor on duty and the limited services available at the regional hospital contributed to the baby’s death.
