W?Hway accident leaves former Com. Pol. critical
Tonight a veteran law enforcement officer remains hospitalized following a traffic accident on Thursday. Seventy year old Kent Haylock, a former commissioner of police and the current chief of security at the Central Bank, was travelling from Belmopan to Belize City when he lost control of his white Suzuki Vitara. The careening car hit a lamp post and overturned in a pool of water. Haylock suffered head injuries and was rushed to the Belize Medical Associates by ambulance. On Thursday afternoon family members told News Five that doctors were working on stabilizing Haylock’s pressure due to a loss of blood from severe head injuries. Tonight Haylock is listed in critical condition. It is believed that the vehicle suffered a blow-out shortly before the accident.
