Shannelly Sutherland, Winner of Be the Next Superstar, returns from Suriname
On Tuesday night, the Grand Finale of the hottest local entertainment show in the country was held at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts. And taking the grand cash prize of ten thousand dollars plus lots more in amazing prizes was the duo of Chad Wade and Shannelly Sutherland. Thousands viewed the show…as far as in New Delhi, India. The Superstar fever was also running high in Suriname where Sutherland was tuned in to our live streaming of Be the Next Superstar. News Five caught up with Sutherland as she touched down in the jewel at the P.G.I.A. this morning. She was overwhelmed and humbled by the win.

“It was like the icing on top of a beautiful journey is Suriname. We stayed up all night…it was a team no sleep and everybody there. And we anticipated and we woke up the whole hotel with our noise when we heard the news. We are very grateful and words can’t describe the feeling right now. It just the start soak in really. So I have to celebrate. It is a wonderfully feeling knowing that people really support Belizean artists. I see comments over and over on Facebook that this is what we want. And this is what they will get. So much more of we…we wah never stop right here. We gwen all the way and I very excited fi work on more songs with Chad and give people what they want; that real Belizean talent, Belizean artist, and more.”

“A bigger stage…a bigger audience. You know I always talk to Chad and you know, we just want to do music; we want to give back to the community as well; host charity events. So it is us being more involved with Belize; that’s what we want to portray. We don’t just want to be artist…we want to give back. Thank you so much for all your support.
