Mango Creek resident is accused of sexually abusing a child since the age of eleven
Also in court today, was forty year old Felicito Sho of Mango Creek, who is accused of raping a sixteen year old Belize City girl. Sho was arraigned before Magistrate Leslie Hamilton for a single charge of Rape which allegedly occurred on May first. Prosecutor, Kenard Clark, objected to bail on grounds that there is a strong possibility that the defendant will interfere with the complaint. But Sho told the court that they have the wrong man and proceeded to give the name of another person who he claims committed the offense. Sho claimed that on numerous occasions, he saw the young lady sneaking off with the young man and that he reported the matter to the girl’s mother. But Magistrate Hamilton told Sho that he failed to address the issue of bail and was therefore remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September seventeenth. The report of rape was made on Monday by the girl’s mother who claimed her daughter was sexually abused since she was eleven. According to the minor, Sho had threatened to kill her and her family if she said anything and fearing for her life, she remained silent. The offense for which Sho is charged, according to the child, occurred in May of this year when she was woke up to find Sho having sex with her.
