Women’s Softball team knocked out of Pan Am competition
And there is disappointing news from Maracay, Venezuela where the seventh Pan American Women’s championship is taking place. The Belize team has failed to qualify for the 2010 Games in Puerto Rico, having lost, except but two games. Belize today lost narrowly to San Salvador, six to seven. Even while it beat Panama comfortably ten to five, that win was not enough to take them over the top. According to the Softball Federation, it will look at the overall picture and noted that while the team did not qualify, it performed better than the last time it played in 1996.
