Phillip Wallace appears in court… again
He walked away from a charge of Attempted Murder last week but twenty one year old Phillip Wallace finds himself right back before the courts. This time Wallace was remanded to prison on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. This follows a shooting that occurred around eleven thirty on Sunday night at the corner of Kut Avenue and Kraal Road. Two Belize City men were traumatized and had to run for their lives. The alleged victims are Kareem Williams and Eddie Neal who reported that on August second, they were at a Chinese Shop located at the corner of Neal’s Pen Road and Kraal Road when a lone gunman dressed in black rode by and opened fire at them. The gunman was identified as Wallace, who is well known to the police. The mother of the accused, Irene Wallace, a popular activist of the Port Loyola area, says that the charges against her son were fabricated by the two victims. Only last week Wallace beat an attempted murder rap when the virtual complainant could not be located by police. In that case he was accused of the attempted murder of Andrew West which occurred on August fourteenth, 2007.
