Burglars sentenced to seven years
Two guys already doing hard time in Hattieville will now look forward to an additional seven years behind bars. This morning eighteen year olds Tyrone Lopez and Tyrone Godoy were found guilty of burglary by Magistrate Sharon Fraser. The court found that in February of 2005 the pair had broken into the snack shop at Sadie Vernon High School and helped themselves to a variety of items. The Magistrate ordered that the seven year sentences be imposed on top of any other time they may be serving. In the case of Godoy that means a previous five year sentence, while Lopez is already doing a ten year stretch. A third man charged in the burglary, Theodore Andrews, was acquitted when it could not be established which officer had arrested him.
