Super G relaunches career with new C.D.

Story PictureHe’s a bona fide attraction who has played to packed houses all over the country … so why is Super G starting over? This morning I found out.

Super G, Punta Rock Artist
?I just want to say to the public that the general deh ya for stay, and I have something brand new.?

Jacqueline Godwin, Reporting
If we haven?t heard much from Punta rocker Super G lately it?s because the recording artist has been working hard on his latest release, First Chapter.

First Chapter is not only the general?s latest album but the C.D. also marks a new beginning in the singer?s professional career. From 1996 to 2000 Super G was one of the leading members of the Punta Rebels Band. He then took his act solo with the support of Love Entertainment. Today, no longer tied to Love, Super G believes the road ahead will be challenging but that he needed to make the change.

Super G
?So I believe now that I suppose to be in charge of my own life and where my music will go from now, so that is the reason why I name it as the first chapter. Because it is the first independent project that I am doing.?

?Also many people doubt that Super G can come back, because a lot of people stated, that mein the man no the sing again, whe deh go on? So I came up with that to show people that hey this is just the beginning. You know maybe I had an end, but this is the beginning of a new era.?

Super G says he does not know what the future holds for him but he plans to continue to promote the music that has made him popular.

Super G
?Punta Rock is what made me. So I believe I should keep on doing what I was doing, maybe in a different way but still Punta Rock music.?

?So it is a lot of work that I have been doing. And also travelling outside of Belize doing shows, and try to learn something new and try to change the game a little bit.?

To promote his latest release, Super G will be hosting a free concert on Thursday at the Princess Royal Park in Dangriga. The show gets underway at six the evening.
