Cops seize 18.5 pounds of cocaine in caye raid
A cocaine bust on Ambergris Caye has put two men behind bars. According to San Pedro police, around six on Saturday morning officers conducted a raid at a residence in the San Marcos area and found seven wrapped parcels of suspected cocaine hidden in the attic. When cops weighed the white powder, it totalled eighteen and a half pounds. The two people at home at the time, twenty-one year old Alex Mourellas and twenty-three year old German Fuemez were immediately detained and arrested. The duo have since been charged with drug trafficking.
