Newborn manatee and mother found dead
It has yet to be examined by fisheries personnel but this female manatee, apparently killed while giving birth, was found floating in the sea near mile four and a half on the Northern Highway, this morning. The cause of death will hopefully be determined tomorrow by researchers. The manatee was discovered by employees of Duke Marine.
