Newborn baby left on Roaring Creek doorstep
Medical authorities are asking the public’s assistance tonight to help a mother who may need some medical care … and perhaps a strong shoulder to lean on. Around seven-thirty this morning a resident of Roaring Creek walked out onto her veranda only to discover a newborn baby on the doorstep. The stork that left the four pound, two ounce girl had already flown away and the infant was transported to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan with her umbilical cord still attached. Doctors believe the mother may be a frightened young girl who ought to receive proper medical care and are appealing to her to please visit the hospital.
