Two brothers arrested in hold-up of Pomona shop
In more crime news, police have arrested two brothers in connection with the armed robbery of a store in the Stann Creek valley. According to the cops, twenty-three year old Robert Chavarria and twenty-five year old Alray Chavarria were two of the four men who conspired to rob a grocery shop in Pomona village on Tuesday night. As a result of their investigations, the Chavarria brothers now stand accused of conspiracy to commit robbery. We understand tonight that the men who actually committed the offence have been identified and authorities say as soon as they are in custody, they will be charged with robbery. One person, Wayne Perriott, was injured during the incident and an undisclosed amount of cash and phone cards were stolen from the establishment.
