… while Chairman emphasises need for parenting
And while the N.C.F.C. is doing all it can to statistically monitor of our children, Sandra Hall, Chairperson of the Committee says that the real daily monitoring of Belize’s young people is a job for parents.
Sandra Hall, Chairperson, N.C.F.C.
?This is a very serious problem that we have identified in Belize. For some reason, our parents are not parenting more. And I know that there are pressures out there, but we can?t leave it to our teachers or babysitters. We see more and more, so many horrible things happening to our children and to our young people. We are concerned about the crime situation, but no child is born bad. Children are affected by circumstances and I think, collectively, if we take on the responsibility as individuals to meet our responsibilities, our children will have a better future. And I am hoping and appealing to the public to take the responsibility seriously, and we at the N.C.F.C., we will continue to fight for our children.?
