Accused Brannon killers reappear in court
One month after being on remand, this morning, accused killers Taedron Bennett, Ricardo Aguilar and Joseph Kee reappeared before Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court. The matter has been adjourned until July seventeenth and during today’s proceedings, Lord indicated that at their next court appearance, the date for disclosure of the evidence against the three men will be set. The trio were arrested and charged with the May fourteenth murders of Philip and Kevin Brannon. Cops believe that following an altercation at the Belize City Centre, Bennett, Aguilar and Kee followed the brothers to their home and then opened fire at their car with nine millimetre pistols. Following today’s brief court appearance Bennett, Aguilar and Kee were once again remanded to Hattieville prison.
Also appearing in courtroom number one this morning was twenty-four year old James Swan, Junior. Swan is charged with the murder of Tyrone Felix which also took place the same night as the Brannon killings.
Both cases have been adjourned until July seventeenth.
