Menzies lambasts church leaders who engage in politricks

While he was on camera, Menzies also lambasted certain leaders of the religious community saying that they are engaged in politricks. He says that’s the reason why he and several other leaders of the church have separated themselves from “politricians.”

“I have no desire for politricks like many religious leaders in this country. They will not move and have backed off from us because some of them are playing politricks. A lot of them are sincere, but some are politricians and they are redders and bluers. So we are saying take off your red shirt Mister Preacher, take off your blue shirt Mister Priest and put on your bible and understand what god has to say.  Pastor Stirm and Louis Wade who were once with us; they are still fighting this thing, but they are taking a different approach. They know what we are doing; we advised them what we are doing…what they are doing. Different approaches; not bashing them. But there are some people right now who will see this and know who I am talking to that are seeing your leaders. Scott is not the senior leader of any church organization—neither is Louis Wade—so I am not talking to them. But there are senior leaders of church organizations in Belize that are playing politricks. We, these church leaders, a lot of them can tell you that some of their senior leaders are playing politricks and so these pastors have had to walk away from the game; that’s why they are here.”
