?Flows and Gravities? opens at Mexican Institute
Tonight the latest addition to the Belizean art scene will officially open to the public in the old capital. News Five’s Alyssa Noble has a preview of the show.

?Flows and Gravities? is the latest exhibition to open at the Institute of Mexico on Newtown Barracks in Belize City.
The pieces are the work of thirty-one year old Othon Castaneda.

?He?s a very talented artist. This is the objective of the institute of Mexico, to show off the works of young Mexican artists.?
According to Jorge Lopez Castro, Cultural Attache of the Mexican Embassy, the Castaneda collection is just one of more than twenty Mexican exhibitions currently touring Latin and South America.

?This collection is twenty-five works of art, ten oils and engravings, made especially for Ecuador. The collection was in Quito and before they return to Mexico, they present in Belize.?
The exhibition will run until the end of the month…but the Mexican embassy promises more of the same later this year.

?We have five more exhibitions. The most important is in October, we have a collection of photos of Tina Mogote. It?s an Italian but she lives in Mexico for many years. It?s a very important collection. It will be in Belize in October at the Mexican Cultural Institute and maybe in Belmopan. It?s the most important exhibition.?
