New political party will soon be unveiled
He claims it’s not a third party, but instead a prime party. Semantics aside, Belizeans will soon be officially informed of the formation of a new political entity. According to organiser Cornelius Dueck of Spanish Lookout, the National Reform Party will run candidates in all thirty-one constituencies. Dueck, who says he will identify some of the party’s fellow leaders in a few weeks time, told News Five today that he took the step of challenging the status quo because “the people are crying out for it.” Dueck is no stranger to politics, having been an unsuccessful aspirant for the U.D.P. nomination in the Cayo Central constituency prior to the 1998 general elections. The party colours are orange and white.
