Cyclist dies when he crashed motorbike into a cow
A Honduran national from the village of Duck Run in the Cayo District is dead after his motorcycle crashed into a cow in Spanish Lookout. The accident occurred just before seven p.m. on Saturday. Twenty-four year old Raul Rodas was travelling on his cycle on the road that leads to the Aguacate Lagoon when he slammed into a black cow on the road. An eyewitness told Police that just seconds before the accident he had slowed down to pass the cow. A short distance down the road the motorcycle passed him and he noticed in his rearview mirror that the lights from the cycle went out. That’s when the eyewitness turned around and observed that the cycle had crashed into the cow and a Hispanic male was on the road suffering from injuries to his head. He called the ambulance and the man, identified as Raul Rodas, was transported to the Western Regional Hospital. Rodas was later taken to the K.H.M.H. where he succumbed to his injuries at ten am on Sunday morning.
