Punta rock artist releasing new album
Budding Punta rock artist Taprick is releasing a new album this weekend after two months of carefully crafting a collection of songs which he believes will resonate with his fans in days to come. Unstoppable, the title of his latest effort, produced by a range of Belizean musicians, will be made available to the public on Monday. This afternoon, the Sheriff dropped by to promote his new CD.

“Dis da mi fifth punta album weh I bring out so you done know I have to bring it to Channel 5, you done know. International thing so yea, the new punta album.

“What can fans expect from your new punta album?”
Taprick
“Well you know, pure party, pure niceness you know. Keeps the culture going on.”
Isani Cayetano
“Talk to us a bit about the work that went into producing this new album. How long it took and the inspiration to put these songs together.”
Taprick
“Well you know, I mi the do just singles and I noticed most of the single were a hit. So I say I just plan to put everything together and put it as an album. So it just took me about two months, you know, yes man, two months.”

“Now what are some of the songs and how hard do you believe those songs are going to be hitting the streets of Belize?”
Taprick
“Well you know when I hit, I hit like a storm, you know, everything weh hit, pure niceness, you know how we do it.”
