Local & int?l comedians prepare for Sat. night show

Story PictureThe show is being billed as the biggest laugh fest to hit centre stage of the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts. “The Belize Comedy Review” is another chapter in the storied entertainment career of Gerald “Lord” Rhaburn and will include Belizean comedians Kenny Morgan, Dylan Jones, Leonard Mangar, Raphael Martinez as well as international comic Bill Trotman a.k.a. Trinidad Bill. This morning Trotman promised to crack up the crowd.

Bill Trotman, Comedian
?Have enough space to laugh because I have intentions of making people laugh until their jaws reach their ears.
Everywhere I go they ask me give me a joke. I was in Trinidad and there was this guy standing on the corner doing nothing and he says ?give me joke Bill Trotman?, I say ?man I?m busy I?m going to catch a cab?, he said ?Gimme a joke? and the man pull out a gun and a cutlass, a machete and say ?gimme a joke or I?ll? and same time police swing down the corner and they seh, ?what?s going on here?, and the man say ?sorry officer, I was just going to shoot across the street and cut around the corner.?

Lord Rhaburn, Belize Comedy Review Organiser
?You know since the death of the late great, Eddie ?Seferino? Coleman, Belizean no laugh as much. Remember he used to give us some joyful days, and it dawned on me that to keep the laugh of the great ?Seferino? going, we need something to energize the Belizean public. So then I get in touch with Mr. Trotman to come to Belize so we could open this first comedy review.?

?I wish that all Belizean who can make it to the show, turn out, because seeing Mr. Trotman in action is not just a show, it will be an experience. Only you who see Mr. Trotman in action could really comprehend to what state he could put you in when he give comedy.?

The laughs are set to start this Saturday night at eight thirty. Tickets are being sold at forty dollars reserved and twenty-five dollars general admission from outlets around the city.
