P.G. bar fight ends in attempted murder charges
A senior citizen from Punta Gorda has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following an incident in the southern town last weekend. Seventy-four year old Cristobal Salam of San Antonio, is the man police say got drunk at a local bar, got into fight, lost, went home for his gun and then ambushed the victim at closing time. Twenty year old Seaford Williams was shot in both legs. He was hospitalised and later released. Salam has since been charged with attempted murder, wounding and deadly means of harm.
