Veteran Politician dies in Dangriga
He was elected to the House of Representatives from the Stann Creek constituency in 1957 and went on to serve as a loyal member of George Price’s Cabinet from self government in 1964, until his retirement in 1989. I’m talking about David McKoy, the veteran labour leader turned politician. McKoy died today in Dangriga at the age of seventy-seven. He will be buried with full honours on Tuesday at the Epworth Methodist Church in that town. Flags on government buildings have been ordered to fly at half-mast on that day.
