City man wounded as gunmen attack him at home

Police have yet to detain any suspects in connection with the shooting of thirty-six year old Martin Santos. According to police reports, around nine on Wednesday night, two masked men entered Santos’s home on Matron Roberts Street in Belize City, where Santos, along with his girlfriend and two other friends, were watching television. When one of the intruders pointed his gun at Santos, a struggle ensued during which Santos was shot three times, wounding him in the right elbow, upper left arm, and left abdomen. He remains at the K.H.M.H. in stable condition. Police have not yet established a motive for the assault and continue their investigation.
