Twenty four year old James Swan Junior was charged with the murder of twenty four year old Tyrone Felix. A killing that police believe stemmed from a misunderstanding between the young men at the Belize City Centre. A.S.P. Chester Williams says they are still trying to find the vehicle Swan was allegedly travelling in at the time of the crime.

?We are trying to find to locate the green vehicle at this time. We believe the vehicle belong to James Swan. It?s a green Toyota 4Runner with pretty rims and we are trying to locate that vehicle at this time but so far unsuccessful.?
It is believed Felix was followed home from the Mother?s Day Bash and as he passed by an abandoned lot at the corner of Gill Street and Faber?s Road someone came up to him and shot him in the back of the head. Williams says they have since spoken with the Felix family following a phone call the mother reportedly made to the radio station concerning their investigation and the way the family was treated.

?The mother of Tyrone Felix, I will not hold anything whether personal or professional against her for what she said on the radio this morning. I did not hear it but I was told, but I personally went and spoke to her this morning and I gave her an update as to the investigation into her son?s murder, and she was happy after having been briefed. I believe that they were some errors in the path of my office, in failing to inform her as to the time the post-mortem was to have been conducted. And she was upset over that and I don?t give her wrong for that. I have dealt with that situation. I have spoken to her and I believe she is much happier now. The police on a daily base continue to be beaten on the media but we are professionals and despite that we will continue to do our work without fear or favours to anybody.?
