Basketballers look for revenge in Mexico
On the first night they lost by seventeen points. On the second night, the deficit grew to twenty-one. And today our national men’s basketball team is making its way north to where they will once again go head to head with the Mexicans in the third game of the four game series. And while we need to win by an almost insurmountable thirty points to qualify for an overall victory, Coach Kevin Seroki told us the team won’t go down without a fight.
Kevin Seroki, Head Coach
?Well we?re gonna go up there and do the best we can. You know we are still in it with them, even though this is just for seating wise to go on to the next tournament. So if we come in second place, we will be going to Costa Rica on Friday to play Costa Rica who came in first in the other division, and El Salvador will play Mexico if that?s the outcome and its looks more like it will be.?

?Any changes to the roster??
Kevin Seroki
?Yes, well against the Mexico team now we can?t, but they will be changes when we go play Costa Rica this week. Couple guys couldn?t make it. Englebert Cherrington has his last final on Thursday, so he will be able to come in Thursday. Sonny Watson, due to FIBA regulations, he?s got to get a release from a team in Europe. So he won?t be able to make this trip, hopefully we?ll have him for Costa Rica. And then some other changes we are trying to do right now with some of the local guys so we?ll see what happens.?
The team is set to play Mexico on Tuesday night in Playa del Carmen and in Chetumal on Wednesday.
