Belize City burglar sentenced to 15 years behind bars

In court today, a Belize City man was convicted of burglary and sentenced to eight years behind bars. According to court reports, thirty-eight year old Harrison Myvett was found guilty by Magistrate Sharon Fraser in connection with the burglary of Gregg Brackett’s home on Mex Avenue. Fraser then sentenced Myvett to eight years in jail. The verdict means that the defendant will spend at least fifteen years behind bars as in January; he was convicted of another burglary and sentenced to six years. Fraser has ordered that the two sentences are to run consecutively. And just when you think it can’t get any worse, Myvett is also accused of three other burglaries. Today he told the court, “I don’t know nothing about deh three. They frame me.”
