Electrician arraigned for October 2013 fatal traffic accident
Also in the court, an electrician who was involved in a traffic accident back in October 2013 was today charged with several traffic offenses in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court. The traffic accident took the life of a senior citizen, sixty-four year-old Patricia Johnson back on October twenty-second, 2013. Jason Grant, a resident of Faber’s Road, was charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle without third party risk insurance and use of a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner. The traffic fatality happened at the entrance of Bella Vista on the Phillip Goldson Highway. Grant reported to police that he was riding his black Honda motorcycle towards Haulover Bridge when he knocked down Johnson who was a resident of Bella Vista area. Johnson suffered head and body injuries and died at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
