Thieves jack $50,000 in separate incidents
Police are tonight investigating two big money burglaries committed in Ladyville and Belama Phase One. The first incident occurred over the holiday weekend at the BATSUB headquarters. Warehouse Manager for the N.A.A.F.I. trading store, Wendy Nicholas told cops that sometime between April twenty-eighth and May second the establishment was broken into and a thief or thieves stole more than thirty eight thousand dollars in electronic devices. The missing goods include twenty eight I-pods, six digital cameras, and seven MP3 players.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Elena Rosado of Juliet Soberanis Street reported that between eight Wednesday morning and four-thirty that afternoon someone broke into her home and took off with over twelve thousand dollars worth of her possessions. The items include a point thirty-eight revolver, two hundred rounds of ammunition, jewellery and clothing. Police are asking anyone with information on either burglary to please contact the nearest police station or call crime stoppers at 0-800-922-tips.
