Car crash survivors need assistance

Story PictureEarlier this month, a traffic accident on the Northern Highway left a father dead and his wife and children seriously injured. Tonight the survivors of that gruesome car crash need your help as they fight to stay alive.

For almost a month now, ten year old Seleni Magana has been admitted to ward at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital recovering from a severe head injury. For more than a week, she was comatose and the standard four student is paralyzed on the right side of her body. Seleni has already undergone two surgeries but is still in need of yet another operation.

She is able to move her hand, her feet, just her left and right feet, her eyes and she tries sometimes like to shout, and she have a lot of movement. She try to communicate like that I told her about Seleni you want to go home or something like that, and she moves she tries to stand or to sit I don?t know.?

On April fifth, the girl was travelling with her family when their car was in a head on collision with another vehicle. Her father Corporal Raul Magana died at the scene and her mother Marleni and brother Julian are hospitalized in Chetumal suffering from body injuries. The escalating medical bills for the Magana family have taken their toll and tonight the police department is appealing to the general public for the financial help.
Seleni?s third operation alone will cost more than eighteen thousand dollars.
