10 year sentence for grocery store robber
A man given away by his dentures and his own testimony in court has been sentenced to ten years behind bars for robbery. Today Gary White appeared before Magistrate Harry Hulett undefended and gave details of the September 2005, Highway Grocery hold-up that only the actual robber would have know. The owner of the shop at mile two and a half on the Western Highway, Miao Fang Liu, told police two men wearing masks and a third without, removed two hundred dollars from her cash register, stole her cell phone, and a gold chain from one of her employees. White was chosen in an identification parade by an employee of the store who recognised him by his false teeth. The two other accomplices were never apprehended. White was convicted of two counts of robbery and given five years jail time for each. The sentences are to be served consecutively.
