Boutique burgled big-time; two arrested
Burglaries are hardly a rarity in Belize but over Easter thieves scored big-time at one city boutique … at least they thought they did.
Jacqueline Godwin, Reporting
Rhona?s Boutique located at the corner of Western Avenue and Mahogany Street may be situated along one of the busiest roadways in the city, but that did not stop three thieves from breaking in.

?The place is about eighteen inches off the ground and the burglars gained entry by crawling under the building, lifting the flooring, and gain access inside the boutique. It is also revealing that they also exited the boutique through that same hole that they had creating in the floor of the boutique.?
The burglars made great efforts to avoid being seen getting into the boutique, but they were not so lucky. Information police received at the time of the break-in not only led them to recover most of the twenty-two thousand dollars worth of stolen good, but also the persons they believe committed the crime.

?The items were recovered not too far away stashed in some bushes. Obviously after the persons left the boutique, they went and hide it in the area in order for them to return for it, but a concerned citizen saw them and called the police and we went to the area and recovered the clothing.?
Police say based on their investigation, they strongly believe that Leroy Saldano and Charleston Green are two of the men who broke into the boutique. Today the duo was charged with burglary. The police have since issued a warrant for the arrest of the third suspect identified as Tibrucio Rodriguez.

?We have gathered through our investigation that some of the items are with the person who we are still looking for, so we are hoping that upon his detention and arrest we will be able to recover some more of the items.?
Police say it is not the first time that Charleston Green has been charged in connection with a burglary.
