Prime Minister?s mother laid to rest in Belize City

The Musa family is tonight in mourning following the death of the Prime Minister’s mother, Aurora Augustina Musa nee Gibbs. “Granny Musa” as she was affectionately known to loved ones, passed away at her home in King’s Park on Saturday afternoon from what is believed to be cancer complications. A mass celebrating her life was held this morning at St. Mary’s Church in Belize City. She is survived by her eight children: Prime Minister Said Musa, Edward “Billy” Musa Senior, Nancy Cox, Alice Riveroll, Margaret Nunez, Albert Musa, Naim Musa, and Hamid Musa Junior. Aurora Musa was laid to rest at Lord Ridge Cemetery beside her husband, Hamid Senior. She was eighty-seven years old.
