Labor Commissioner puts off redundancy of 26 security workers until next Wednesday
The meeting between the Labor Commissioner, the CWU and the Mayor concluded a little while ago at the office of the labor Commissioner. Word to News Five is that the commissioner declared that the redundancy of twenty-six security workers is to be put off until next week Wednesday and not this Friday. The Labor Commissioner, Ivan Williams, said he needed time to deliberate on the situation. It is reported that the decision did not go down well with the mayor who reportedly stormed out of the meeting saying that he will not hear that declaration. We’ll have more on this on Friday.
