HANDS Foundation pays school fees in Stann Creek West

Tonight hundreds of parents in Stann Creek West have one less thing to worry about as the HANDS Belize Foundation picked up the tab for their children’s school fees. On Wednesday HANDS officials presented cheques totalling one hundred and eighty thousand dollars to the principals of the twenty primary and secondary schools in the constituency. According to area representative and president of the foundation, Rodwell Ferguson, the donation is the result of hard work … that’s not over yet.

?The figure that we have raised since last year to now, is more than half a million Belize dollars. Again, you might wonder how we did it, but hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. And we?ll make the commitment again that next year the HANDS Belize Foundation will do the same.?

The HANDS Belize Foundation was inaugurated in February of last year with a view to assist the twenty-eight communities comprising the Stann Creek West constituency.
