Story PictureOn Wednesday, Belize Telecommunications Limited will start handing out to its over thirty thousand customers, copies of the 2006 telephone directory. ?Jackie, we are very excited about this directory. As you know, this is the time of the year that people look forward to when B.T.L. unveils the new directory, that?s how people refer to it: the unveiling of B.T.L.?s directory. This year we are using the old light house on Half Moon Caye for our directory cover because we believe that this epitomises the natural beauty and wonder of Belize. Some of the new things that we?ve added in are the colourful pages. We did this last year, but this year we did it in more detail, we have more colour pages, tourism information available for people who are interested. We know that these directories are for Belizeans, but tourists are also interested in picking it up and looking through it, so we made it as appealing and attractive as possible. Even in the sections that are normally black and white, we?ve added splashes of colour. We have changed the font, so that anybody who opens the directory looking for a name or number they will be able to read it more legibly and it will be more understandable and more attractive to the eye.?

Canto says only the numbers of new subscribers who applied prior to November first will appear in the directory. Later additions will be listed in next year’s book. B.T.L. customers can pick up the 2006 directory beginning Wednesday when they pay their March bills.
