Mahogany Heights resident charged for drug trafficking

A Belize City woman and two minors were today arraigned for drug trafficking in Magistrate’s Court. This afternoon Lavern Meighan, a sixteen year old, and a seventeen year old appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie and pleaded not guilty to the charge. All three were granted and met bail of three thousand, five hundred dollars and the case was adjourned until April twenty-fourth. The trio was arrested after police searched a house in Mahogany Heights today in the presence of Meighan and the two minors and found seventy-three pieces of crack cocaine, weighing seven point five grams.
