Independence villager charged with attempted murder
Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting in Dangriga that left a businessman clinging to life. According to officers of the southern formation, twenty year old Nicholas Swaso of Independence Village is the man who shot Xue Ming Luo in the face last Saturday night. Following police investigations into the incident, Swaso has been charged with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, aggravated assault, and dangerous harm. We understand that Swaso will not be charged with robbery until after investigators have determined the total cost of the items stolen from the supermarket. We understand that tonight thirty-two year old Xue remains in a serious but stable condition in a medically induced coma at the Belize Medical Associates.
