Bicycle thief gets five years
In other court news, a bicycle thief was this week sentenced to spend the next five years behind bars. Twenty five year old Carl Parham was found guilty of robbery by Magistrate Harry Hulett following his victim’s account of the incident. According to Juan Cucul, around seven on the night of October twelfth, he was riding through the intersection of King and Albert Streets when a man attacked him, trying to wrench his bicycle out of his hands. Cucul put up a fight, but during the struggle his assailant took the bicycle’s chain lock and started hitting him with it. The thief then made off with the beach cruiser but was later picked up by the cops.
